Christmas Light Installation in Bonner, Montana

Bonner and Milltown are about 10 minutes east of Missoula, so installs there are scheduled with regular Missoula days rather than on a route day.

Bonner and Milltown sit ten minutes east of Missoula where the Blackfoot runs into the Clark Fork, and for our crews they are as easy to reach as any neighborhood in town. Montana Lights is owned and operated by Constructive Brothers, a licensed and insured Missoula construction company, and we handle the whole holiday lighting job here: commercial-grade LED strands cut to your roofline, mini lights on trees and shrubs, wreaths and garland where they fit, a free design visit before anything is quoted, maintenance all season, and takedown with storage in January. You buy nothing and store nothing.

Homes here are a mix. The older mill-era houses in Bonner and along the Milltown streets are small and close together, with simple gable rooflines that light up nicely with a single C9 run and a wreath. Up Marshall Canyon and along the Blackfoot toward Pine Grove and Twin Creeks, the lots get bigger and the ponderosas get taller. The canyon wind coming down the Blackfoot in December is a real factor, so we clip every socket and pull lines tight. This is also one of the colder pockets near Missoula when the river fog settles, so the commercial-grade strands we use are rated for it.

Because Bonner is so close, it does not need a route day. We schedule it with Missoula installs and can usually find a Bonner or Milltown home a date soon after the design visit early in the season. Most homes here come in between $900 and $2,500 the first year and less after, since your strands are cut once and stored with us. Book by October 31 for the Lit by Thanksgiving Guarantee. The 48-Hour Repair Promise covers the season. Call (406) 207-2524 for a free design visit.

Lighting Homes in Bonner: What We Plan For

Canyon wind off the Blackfoot

The Blackfoot canyon funnels wind straight into Bonner and Milltown, and it arrives with the first cold snap. Loose strands and hanging swags do not survive it. We clip C9 lines at every socket and tie tree wraps off at the trunk, and garland stays tight to the rail or door frame it is on so nothing flaps.

Milltown State Park views

Homes on the bluff above the confluence and along the old Milltown streets are visible from the park trails and from Highway 200, so a lit roofline there is seen by more people than the owner might expect. We favor even spacing and a single warm-white color on those so the house reads as one shape from across the river.

Tall pines on small lots

Bonner lots often have a ponderosa that is three times the height of the house, planted long before the current owner. We do not try to light the whole tree. A trunk wrap up to the first big limbs, done from a lift, gives the yard a lit column that pairs with the roofline and stays within reach for repairs.

FAQs

Bonner Questions

Do you serve East Missoula and the Highway 200 corridor past Bonner?
Yes. East Missoula, Bonner, Milltown and the homes along Highway 200 toward Pine Grove and Twin Creeks are all inside our regular Missoula schedule. Farther up the Blackfoot toward Potomac we can usually still help when installs can be grouped, so call and ask. The design visit is free either way, and we will tell you up front if a property is outside what we can schedule.
How fast can you get to a Bonner repair?
Usually very fast. The 48-Hour Repair Promise is the outside limit everywhere we work, and Bonner is ten minutes from the shop, so a crew can often stop by the same day or the next morning on the way to or from a Missoula job. Repairs are included in the seasonal price, and most of them are a single bulb or a plug pulled loose by wind.
Can you add wreaths and garland to a small Bonner house?
Yes, and on the smaller mill-era homes a lit wreath on the door and garland along the porch rail often do as much as the roofline does. We supply commercial-grade lit wreaths and garland and hang them on the same visit as the C9 line, on the same timer. They come down with everything else in January and go into storage with your strands.
