Commercial Holiday Lighting in Missoula and the Bitterroot

Storefronts in downtown Missoula and Hamilton and HOA entrances in Miller Creek and Grant Creek get commercial-grade LED displays with season-long service, installed by a licensed and insured construction crew that carries its own liability coverage.

A business display has different demands than a house. The lights need to be up before Black Friday traffic and running every night through New Year's without a gap, and the company on the ladder needs to carry real insurance before it touches your building. Montana Lights is the holiday division of Constructive Brothers, a licensed and insured Missoula construction company, so our crews already hold the liability coverage and fall protection training that commercial property managers ask for. We install C9 LED rooflines on storefronts in downtown Missoula and downtown Hamilton, and we light HOA monument signs and entrance fences in neighborhoods like Miller Creek and Grant Creek.

Commercial jobs also raise questions a homeowner never has to think about. A storefront display usually shares exterior circuits with signage and parking lot outlets that are already carrying a load, so we map amperage before install day and split runs across circuits rather than trusting a single 15-amp breaker. Parapet walls and standing-seam metal roofs each take a different clip, and we have installed on both. You get a written quote with a fixed seasonal price and our 48-Hour Repair Promise for any outage from install through takedown. If your building needs a lift, we bring one. Design visits are free anywhere from Missoula to Hamilton.

Single storefronts in downtown Missoula or Hamilton typically run $1,200 to $4,000 for a first season, with total roofline footage and lift access being the main cost drivers; multi-building and HOA projects are quoted after a site walk.

Why Us

Why Missoula Chooses Us for Commercial Holiday Lighting

Insurance a property manager will accept

Constructive Brothers is insured as a working construction company, and we provide a certificate of insurance on request before anyone sets a ladder against your building. That matters to landlords and to HOA boards whose bylaws require proof from outside contractors, and it is something few seasonal operations can offer.

Lit before your busiest weekend

Commercial jobs booked by October 31 fall under the same Lit by Thanksgiving Guarantee as our homes, which puts your display up before Black Friday and the downtown holiday events that follow it. We schedule commercial installs early in the season on purpose so a snowstorm in November does not push you into December.

Sized for the building's power

Before install we check every exterior outlet for GFCI protection and add up the amperage each run will draw, including any signage already on the circuit. Runs are split so no breaker is loaded past 80 percent, and every circuit gets its own photocell timer so the whole building comes on together at dusk.

One fixed price for the season

Your quote covers design, materials, installation, 48-hour repairs, January takedown and storage in a single number, so there is nothing to budget for after the display goes up. Storefronts commonly run $1,200 to $4,000 and larger office or HOA projects are quoted from the site visit.

How It Works

Commercial Holiday Lighting, Step by Step

Site walk and load check

We walk the property with you and photograph the building, noting every exterior outlet and its circuit. For multi-tenant buildings we confirm with the owner which outlets are available. You receive a written quote within a day.

Design and approval

We send a marked-up photo showing where the C9 roofline and any wrapped trees will go, with bulb color noted. Many businesses choose warm white for storefronts and add a single accent color for the entry.

Install around your hours

We schedule installs before opening or after close when foot traffic is light, and we cone off sidewalks while ladders or a lift are in use. Most storefronts are finished in a single visit.

Service through takedown

Any outage is repaired within 48 hours at no charge for the full season. In January we remove everything on a scheduled date and store the strands cut to your building. The following season is quoted at the lower returning rate.

FAQs

Commercial Holiday Lighting Questions, Answered

Do you provide a certificate of insurance?
Yes. Constructive Brothers is a licensed and insured Montana construction company and we can send a certificate of insurance to you or your property manager before the install date. Ask for it when you request the quote and we will have it in your inbox the same week. Many leases and HOA bylaws require this from any contractor working on the exterior, and it is one of the reasons commercial clients choose a construction company over a seasonal crew.
Can you light an HOA entrance or a long fence line?
Yes, and these are some of our favorite projects. Ranch-style fence lines and monument signs in neighborhoods like Miller Creek and Grant Creek work well with C9 LED runs along the top rail and mini lights wrapped on the entry posts. The main planning item is power: a long driveway or fence often has no outlet nearby, so we run rated outdoor extension cord of the correct gauge from the nearest GFCI source or work with the HOA on a dedicated outlet. Quotes are based on the measured footage.
Will the lights stay on during the coldest weeks?
That is exactly why we use commercial-grade LEDs instead of retail strands. The C9 LED bulbs we install are rated well below zero and draw a fraction of the current of incandescent bulbs, so cold snaps and long nights do not stress the circuit. Each circuit runs on a photocell timer, so the display turns on at dusk even when the inversion keeps Missoula gray all afternoon. If anything does fail, the 48-Hour Repair Promise covers it.
How far outside Missoula do you take commercial work?
We cover the full service area for commercial jobs: Missoula, Lolo, Florence, Stevensville, Victor, Corvallis, Hamilton, Frenchtown, Bonner, Clinton, Seeley Lake and Arlee. Hamilton storefronts and Bitterroot HOAs are a regular part of our route, and wind along the valley floor is something we plan for with tighter clip spacing on exposed runs. For a business outside that list, call (406) 207-2524 and we will tell you honestly whether we can fit it into the schedule.
