Christmas Light Installation in Stevensville, Montana

Stevensville is about 35 minutes south of Missoula, and we schedule it on Bitterroot route days alongside Florence and Victor so the crew works down the valley in one trip.

Stevensville has some of the oldest houses in the Bitterroot, and lighting them well takes more care than clipping a strand to a vinyl gutter. Montana Lights is owned and operated by Constructive Brothers, a licensed and insured construction company out of Missoula, so our crews already know how to work around original fascia and hundred-year-old porch posts without leaving a mark. We supply commercial-grade LED lights cut to your roofline, design the layout on a free visit, install it, keep it running through the season, and take it down in January. The strands live in our storage between seasons, not in your garage.

The town itself is compact. The blocks around Main Street and the historic district have two-story homes with detailed trim that reward a careful C9 line along the eaves and gables and a lit wreath on the door, while the ranches and newer homes toward the Eastside Highway and out Middle Burnt Fork Road have long single-story rooflines and open yards that carry light for a quarter mile. Wind runs the length of the valley here, and it comes with early snow. Every bulb gets a clip and every tree wrap is anchored at the trunk, and we route wire away from the roof edges where ice dams build up through December.

Stevensville sits on our Bitterroot route, so installs are grouped with Florence and Victor on the same day and drive time does not show up on your quote. A first season for most homes falls between $900 and $2,500, with lower pricing in returning seasons because the strands are already cut and stored. Book by October 31 and the Lit by Thanksgiving Guarantee applies. Outages are covered by the 48-Hour Repair Promise. Call (406) 207-2524 and we will set up a free design visit.

Lighting Homes in Stevensville: What We Plan For

Older homes on Main Street

Many houses near Main Street and Third Street are a century old or close to it, with wood fascia and painted trim that a screw or a nail would ruin. We use non-piercing clips sized to the gutter or shingle edge, and we will walk the roofline with you afterward if you want to see that nothing was touched.

Valley wind and early snow

Stevensville gets the full length of the Bitterroot wind, and it usually has snow on the roofs weeks before Missoula. We install on dry roofs whenever the calendar allows, which is one more reason to book in October, and every strand is clipped tightly enough that a night of gusts down the valley does not move it.

Main Street businesses

Stevensville's Main Street is short enough that a few lit storefronts change the look of the whole town in December. We do commercial rooflines and window outlines for shops and offices there, installed before opening or after close, with timers set so the block is lit through the evening and dark by the time the street empties.

FAQs

Stevensville Questions

Will clips damage the trim on an older Stevensville house?
No. We do not use screws or staples on rooflines. C9 strands ride in clips that grip the shingle edge or the gutter lip, and on houses with fragile wood fascia we pick the clip style during the design visit so it fits what is actually there. The crews come from a construction background and treat an old house with the care they would give a renovation client.
Do you serve the Burnt Fork and Eastside Highway areas outside Stevensville?
Yes. Our Stevensville route covers the town itself along with the acreages out Middle Burnt Fork and the Eastside Highway and the homes along the river toward Fort Owen. Larger rural lots usually get a roofline plus a few wrapped trees near the driveway entrance, which reads well from the road without lighting every fence post. The design visit is free, so we can measure it and price it before you decide.
What does the Lit by Thanksgiving Guarantee mean for Stevensville?
If you book by October 31, we guarantee your lights are installed and working before Thanksgiving. For Stevensville that means we hold a Bitterroot route day for you in early or mid November, before the worst of the snow. If you book after October 31 we still install as fast as the schedule allows, but the guarantee itself only applies to October bookings.
