Takedown is the part of holiday lighting most people dread, and it is the part that separates a full-service company from a crew that only hangs lights. With Montana Lights it is booked and paid for up front with your install, so there is no second bill after New Year's. After the holidays you pick your takedown date, and we build the January route around it. A crew removes every C9 strand, every wrapped mini light, every wreath and every clip, then walks the roofline and yard to make sure nothing was left behind. Because the crew works for Constructive Brothers, a licensed and insured construction company, January roof work on frozen shingles is handled with the same care as the October install.
The lights are yours, and takedown is where we get them ready for next year. Each roofline run was cut to a specific edge of your house, so we coil it and label it with the location it came from, such as front gable or garage eave. Wreaths are bagged so the needles are not crushed, and mini light strands from wrapped trees are coiled rather than balled up. Then we leave everything with you to keep in the garage, attic or shed. We do not store lights, and our customers prefer it that way. Next fall the labeled strands go back up fast, and since you already own the lights and clips, a returning season is install and takedown only.
Takedown is $133 per 100 bulbs, about one bulb per foot of roofline. It is paid when you book along with the install, so there is no bill in January, and there is no storage fee because the lights stay with you.
