A lot of Victor properties are set back a few hundred feet from the road, so the roofline alone can look small from the county road. Wrapping the two or three trees closest to the driveway entrance with mini lights gives the place a lit approach and makes the house visible to anyone driving by.
Victor sees some of the coldest nights in the valley when the air pools against the mountains. Retail incandescent and bargain LED strands get brittle and fail at the sockets in that cold. The commercial-grade LEDs we install have thicker wire jackets and sealed bulb bases, and they draw so little power that a long roofline runs off one circuit.
Many newer Victor homes have steep metal roofs built to shed snow, which is great for the roof and hard on lights. We mount C9 strands with clips designed for standing-seam and pro-panel edges and keep the run along the eave line where sliding snow passes over it rather than through it.
